What Is a Pinterest Video Downloader?

A Pinterest video downloader takes the link of a public video Pin and turns it into a file you can keep on your device. Paste the link in the box at the top of this page and MediaFetches shows what it can save from that Pin.

How to Download a Pinterest Video in 3 Steps

The downloader checks the link before it offers a file.

  1. Open the video Pin in Pinterest, use the Share option and choose Copy link.

  2. Paste the Pin URL into the form and select Fetch.

  3. Choose MP4 or MP3 from the options shown and select Download to save the file.

What to Expect from a Pinterest Link

Pinterest Pins can contain images, video, or links to another site. The fetch step confirms whether the Pin exposes media before you are offered a download.

Only public Pins can be fetched. Private boards and links that need a login return an error. Pinterest content belongs to its creator, so save and reuse video only with permission.

Which Pinterest Links Work? (pin.it and pinterest.com)

Pinterest gives you two kinds of link, and MediaFetches reads both. In the mobile app, sharing a Pin gives you a short link that starts with pin.it. On the website, the address bar shows a full link that starts with pinterest.com/pin/. Paste either one into the box at the top of this page. A link to a whole board, a profile or a search page will not work, because the downloader needs the link of a single Pin.

Which Pinterest Pins Can You Download?

Pinterest has a few kinds of Pin, and only some of them hold a video. A public video Pin, such as a recipe clip or a home-decor tutorial, can be fetched. Pinterest has folded its Idea Pins into regular Pins, so a Pin made of several clips or slides may also play as a video. An image Pin, or a Pin that only links to another website, has no video to save, so you will see a clear error instead of a download.

MP4 or MP3: Which Format Suits Your Pinterest Video?

Choose MP4 when you want to watch the clip again, for example a recipe, a craft tutorial or a workout you want to follow along with. Choose MP3 when the sound is what you want to keep, such as a voiceover or a piece of music. An MP3 is much smaller than a video, so it is the easier choice when your phone is short on space.

Common Uses for a Saved Pinterest Video

A recipe or DIY video is far easier to follow from a saved file when the signal drops in the kitchen or the workshop. People also keep videos for planning a room, an outfit or a trip, so the ideas are still there on a flight or a train. Creators save a copy of their own Pins before editing or deleting them, and some send a clip to a friend who does not use Pinterest. Because the file lives on your device, it plays anywhere, online or offline.

Pinterest Video Not Downloading? Quick Fixes

  • Check the Pin is public. Open the link in a private browser window. If you cannot see the video there, MediaFetches cannot fetch it either.
  • Copy the link again. Use the Share option and choose Copy link, or copy the full pinterest.com/pin/ address from your browser.
  • Use the link of one Pin. Board, profile and search links do not contain a single video.
  • Check the Pin has a video. Image Pins and Pins that only link to a website return an error.
  • Try again later. The creator may have removed the Pin, or Pinterest may be slow to respond.

Why Use MediaFetches for Pinterest Videos

  • No account, no sign-up and no app to install. It runs in your browser.
  • The Fetch step checks your link first and shows only the options it can actually process.
  • If a link can’t be read, you get a clear error instead of a broken download.
  • A progress bar shows when your file is ready, then your browser saves it.
  • No watermark is added to your file.

Pinterest Video Downloader: Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Pinterest video downloader free?

Yes. There is nothing to pay and no account to create.

Does MediaFetches add a watermark to Pinterest videos?

No. The saved file is the video as the source provides it.

How do I copy a Pinterest video link?

In the Pinterest app, open the video Pin, tap Share and choose Copy link. On a computer, open the Pin and copy the address from your browser’s address bar, or use the Share button on the Pin. Then paste it into the box at the top of this page.

Do I need a Pinterest account to use MediaFetches?

No. You don’t log in to MediaFetches and there is no account to create. The Pin itself has to be public, so its link can be read without a login.

Can I download from a pin.it short link?

Yes. Both the short pin.it link from the mobile app and the full pinterest.com/pin/ link from the website can be pasted into the box.

Can I download Pinterest images or GIFs?

No. MediaFetches is built for public video Pins. Image-only Pins, boards and private content return an error instead of a download.

Can I save only the audio from a Pinterest video?

Yes, when the MP3 option appears in the results. Choose it and you get the sound without the picture.

Is it OK to download Pinterest videos?

Pinterest videos belong to their creators. Save videos you made yourself or have permission to keep, credit the creator if you share them, and do not repost someone else’s work without asking. MediaFetches does not access private content.

Do all Pinterest Pins contain downloadable video?

No. Many Pins are images or link out to another page. Download options appear only when the source exposes readable video media.

Can I use this on a phone?

Yes. Copy the Pin link in the Pinterest app, then paste it into the downloader in your mobile browser.

Why did my Pin fail?

The Pin may be private, deleted, image-only, or dependent on a source page that the downloader cannot access.
